Chicken with bread crumbs

     A recipe that I have been wanting to try, is breaded chicken.  It is amazing how there are so many different ways to make chicken. I wanted to do something different for my Husband and he enjoyed it so much he asked to take some for lunch.   
     However, some of the ingredients that are needed, I did not have at hand so I had to improvise.  That is the beauty of cooking, you can make things up as you go along. The things you will need are...

  • Chicken drumsticks or Chicken breasts
  • Bread crumbs (any flavor or brand)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup of milk or water
  • 1 tablespoon of oil
  • Foil
  • Cookie Sheet

 1. Pre heat your oven to 400 degrees.


2. In a bowl, add two eggs, 1/2 of milk or water and 1 tablespoon of oil.


3. Mix condiments until they are foam.


4. Choose the pieces of chicken you would like and rinse them removing any excess skin or unwanted fat.


5. I cut up the chicken breasts to make chicken strips. (This choice is optional. You can stick with the drumsticks or the full breasts).


6. In a plate or bowl, pour the bread crumbs. 


7. Grab a piece of your choice of chicken and dip into egg batter. 


8. Place the piece of chicken in the bowl of bread crumbs and roll it around covering the piece with bread crumbs. 



9. Add the piece of chicken to a cookie sheet covered with foil. 



10. Place cookie sheet in oven for 1 hour, flipping them along the way to cook both sides thoroughly.


11. Once cooked thoroughly, remove from oven and let cool.


12.  Serve with your choice of sides.
