LA Style Hot Dogs | Hot Dogs estilo LA

The main reason why I go to L.A. is for their hot dogs!  They are so delicious and juicy and spicy.  One thing that makes them unique is the wrapped bacon they are cooked in.  I learned how to make them just as tasty as an L.A. hot dog.  Unfortunately, my Husband does not like the bacon twist to it, so for this segment  I will make the hot dog without the bacon, but will point out where you add the bacon to it. I do have to warn that these dogs can get a bit spicy.
The things you will need are...

  • Pan with oil
  • 2-3 chiles Serranos
  • 4-5 rings of onions
  • Hot dogs
  • Buns
  • Mustard
  • Ketchup
  • Mayo
1. Cut up the Chile Serrano in strips and the onion into rings.

2. Add the cut up vegetables into the heated pan with a bit of oil (Caution: The scent of this will hurt your sinuses so make sure to open up your windows!).

3. Let them get golden and add the hot dogs. (This is the part where you can wrap the bacon to the hot dog).

4. Rotate the hot dogs until they are cooked thoroughly and the bacon is nice and crisp.

5. Add mayo to the buns, and place them on the pan or the toaster to toast.

6. Once bun is ready, add the hot dog in the bun and add some grilled onions and Chile Serrano.

7. Top it all off with Ketchup, mustard and any desired vegetables.

ENJOY!
