Spaghetti

The last day I was at my Mother's house, she made her delicious version of spaghetti. I remember telling my now Husband, that I did not want to go out to eat that night.   I wanted to enjoy the last meal my Mother made before we eloped and they headed out to the East Coast.  It was the best spaghetti I ever had.  I decided to try to make a replica of my mom's spaghetti and as it turns out, it was like if she cooked it.  I will be sharing a secret to keep the dish fresh even if its served as left overs.
The things you will need are...
  • Spaghetti pasta
  • Onion
  • Pasta Sauce (Not Paste and any flavor you would like)
  • Pot
  • Ground Beef
  • Pan
  • Oil
  • Pepper
  • Garlic Salt
  • Butter
  • Bread
  • Parmesan Cheese
"Alright, now let's put it all together." -Rosanna Pansino

1. In a pot, add the spaghetti pasta (I like to add some onion so the pasta can get some flavor).

2. Fill the pot up half way with water.

3. Place on stove with medium heat for about 30 minutes (I put mine on high but if you do you must keep an eye on it so the pasta does not burn, or overcook).

4. In a pan, add a bit of oil on medium heat.

5. When the pan is hot, add your ground beef (I add onion to give it flavor)

6. Once meat is cooked thoroughly, add pepper.

7. Add the spaghetti sauce to the meat and let simmer on low.

8. Grab about 2-3 tsp of butter and some garlic salt. (Depends on how much bread you plan to eat).

9. In a bowl, add the butter and about 2 tps of garlic salt and mix thoroughly.

10. Spread the butter evenly on a piece of bread (Caution on how much garlic salt you add, it can be too salty).

11. Toast the bread in the toaster or on a skillet, once toasted cut in half if desired.

12. When the pasta is tender, strain the water out. (If spaghetti gets dry, add cold water mixing it thoroughly).

13. Now this is the part that will keep your spaghetti fresh. Do not mix the sauce and the pasta together. By doing so, the pasta starts to dry out along with the sauce. Instead when serving, first add the pasta then the sauce on top.

14. Add Parmesan cheese to your liking.

ENJOY!
