Homemade Salsa | Salsa casera

One of the first recipes I learned was how to make Salsa. It is quick and easy and the perfect thing about it, is you decide how spicy you want it. You can use this Salsa for many dishes and it is finger licking good! The things you will need are...

  • Chile Serrano (How ever spicy you would like it.)
  • 1/2 an Onion
  • A clove of Garlic
  • Salt
  • 1 medium Tomato
  • Cilantro (Optional)

 1. Prepare the Chile Serrano, the onion, tomato, and garlic.

2. Place them in a pot and fill it with water. Place the pot on the stove on medium heat.

You may add as many Chiles as you would like. Depends on how spicy you would like your Salsa.

3. Let boil until you see the vegetables are soft.

4. Remove as much water from the pot but not all of it. We need to make sure that the Salsa is no too watery nor too dry.

5. Pour into blender and add salt to your liking. Caution it will be hot!

You may add cilantro at this point

6. Blend until liquefied.

Taste test for salt

7. Place in bowl.

ENJOY!
