Garlic Knots | Nudos de Ajo

When I moved to another county, I needed to find out what restaurants were around my area. My Husband and I really love pizza, so it was very important to us to find a good place. One day when we were leaving to do an errand, we came across a pizza box with the name of Porky's. We looked at each other and nodded at each other and took a chance to try it. To our surprise, we were not disappointed. We also noticed that they had some sides and I was interested in their Garlic Knots. These were so delicious and hit the spot, but they were really greasy. I then decided to try and make them at home to 1. save money and 2. not make them so greasy. I found an easy link on how to make them under 10 minutes. The things you will need are...

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan
  • 3/4 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried Oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried Parsley flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 (16-ounce) tube refrigerated buttermilk biscuits

1. Heat your oven to 400 degrees.

2. Let's start working on the mixer by adding the butter, Parmesan, garlic powder, oregano, parsley and salt. Mix together.

3. Open the tube of biscuits.

4. On the counter top or a hard surface, add some flour so the biscuits don't stick.

5. Roll out the biscuits.

6. Then create the Knot.

7. On a cookie sheet place foil and spread some melted butter. This is so the Knots will not stick.

7. Place Knots on the cookie sheet and start adding the mixture.

8. Place in the oven for 10 minutes.

9. After 10 minutes or the Knots are cooked thoroughly, remove from oven and serve with your choice of main course.

ENJOY!
