Watermelon Water | Agua de sandia

My Husband's dad is a nursery worker. He is in charge of watering all the plants really bright and early in the morning. Because he has been working there for so long, the owner allows him to grow fruits and plants for his personal pleasure. This season, my Husbands's dad planted some
watermelons and when they were ready, he surprised us with one. When I saw this watermelon, I knew that it was taken care of with love because it was huge! When we cut it open, oh my gosh the sweet smell of the watermelon filled the kitchen. We ended up with two big tupperwares of cut up watermelon so I decided to make some water out of it. The things you will need are...

  • Watermelon
  • Sugar
  • Water
  • Blender
  • Ice

1. Cut up the watermelon into cubes.

2. Fill the blender half way up with watermelon. Remove as many seeds as possible.

3. Add water until fruit is covered and add sugar to your liking.

4. Blend until all is liquefied.

5. Pour into a jar and add ice.

(Note: Taste test it and add sugar if needed. If you are filling a bigger jug, follow steps 1-4 until you have the desired amount.)

6. Once chilled, serve.

ENJOY!
