Spicy Shrimp and Tomato Pasta | Camarón Picante y Tomate

One of the dishes that I remembered my mom making was shrimp pasta. I kind of remembered how to make it but I really wanted to know exactly how to make it. I looked over some recipes from Pinterest and found one that was similar to how I remembered my mom making it. I was so excited because my Husband has been asking me to make something with shrimp. I added some broccoli to give it a kick, and it came out so delicious and a bit healthy. The things you will need are...

  • Fettuccine
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • ½ lb. shrimp
  • 1 (15. oz.) can diced tomatoes
  •  Crushed red pepper flakes
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • Freshly cracked pepper
  • Broccoli

1.Cook the fettuccine pasta.

2. I added the broccoli to cook as well.

3. While the pasta and broccoli are cooking, peel and rinse the shrimp with cold water.

4. Dry off the shrimp with a paper towel and set aside.

5. Dice the garlic.

6. In a skillet, melt some butter and let the garlic cook.

7. Add the shrimp and let cook.

8. Strain the fettuccine and broccoli.

9. Once the shrimp is nice and pink set aside.

10. In the same skillet, pour the diced tomatoes.

11. Add the crushed pepper (I used 2 leftover packets from Pizza Hut).

12. Add some fresh crushed pepper and salt.

13. Mix together and let sauce get thick.

14. Add the shrimp to the mixture.

15. In a big pot, add the pasta, broccoli, and the mixture.

16. Mix all together and serve!

ENJOY!
