Lemonade | Agua de lemon

One of my coworkers has a lemon tree and asked me one day if I wanted some lemons. I said yes thinking it would be a handful of lemons, but to my surprise it was  a full crate of them. I decided to make some lemonade seeing that I had so many. This recipe would work great for this coming up Easter or even for a spring BBQ out in the park or for one of those hot summer days. It is so easy and fast you will done within minutes.
The things you will need are...

  • 3-4 lemons
  • 5 cups of water
  • Sugar
  • Strainer & lemon squeezer

1. Wash your lemons.

2. Cut up the lemons. I used 4 lemons, but you could use as many as you like.

3. Using a lemon squeezer, squeeze the lemon into a measuring cup.

4. After squeezing the 8 halves, I got about 1 1/2 cups of lemon juice.

5. With the strainer, pour the juice into the jar to catch any lemon residue.

6. This next step depends on how sour the lemon juice is. I used 5 cups of water to even out the sourness.

7. Add sugar to your liking.

8. Add ice or put in the fridge to chill. Once chilled and the sugar is right you may serve.

ENJOY!
