Calzone

My Husbands favorite thing to eat is pizza. If it weren't because of me, he would probably eat pizza all the time. So, I wanted to make some calzone's for him something different that but still would be his favorite. Now if after reading this recipe you would just like to do a regular pizza, you can check out my recipe here. The things you will need are...

  •  Pre heat the oven to 425 degrees.
  • Jiffy Pizza dough
  • 1 pint of ricotta cheese (half or whole)
  • 1/2-1 cup of Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 can of tomato sauce
  • Any toppings you would like
  • 1 tbsp of oregano or dry basil leaves
1. Prepare the Jiffy Pizza dough.

2. Add 1/2 cups of water and stir.

3. Cover with a damp cloth. Store in warm place and let rise for 5 minutes.

4. Once dough is risen, knead with some flour.

5. With a rolling pin form the dough into a round shape.

6. In a bowl, add the ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, and the oregano or basil leaves. Also add any of the toppings you want inside your calzone.

7. Mix all together thoroughly.

8. On the rounded dough add some tomato sauce and the filling.

9. Close the calzone and secure the ends by pressing down the end with a fork.

10. Seal the calzone with an egg wash and place on a cooking sheet.

11. Place in oven and let bake for 30 minutes.

12. When's time is up, let cool and cut into your calzone. Serve with a side of tomato sauce or my favorite, ranch!

ENJOY!
