Homemade Tortilla Chips | Totopos Caseros

Ever wanted some tortilla chips but either the store is closed or you they might be to pricey? Well one of the reasons why I make tortilla chips homemade is because of my Dad. He loves the taste of fresh homemade chips with his meal, especially with some guacamole. These are so easy and fast to make you can use a deep fryer or a pot filled with oil. Either way, they will come out tasting so delicious. The things you will need are...

  • Corn Tortillas
  • Oil
  • Pot or deep fryer
  • Salt

1. Fill up your pot or deep fryer of oil and let heat up.

2. Grab a hand full of tortillas and cut them in half.

3. Then cut them in triangle shapes.

4. Once oil is heated up, place a handful of cut up tortillas into the pot/deep fryer.

5. Let the tortillas cook thoroughly. (Close the lid if using a deep fryer)

6. Let the tortilla chips come to a brown toasty color.

7. Once ready, remove from oil and let oil drain. Place in a bowl with napkins to collect the excess oil.

8. Add salt while oil is still hot.

9. Repeat the steps until you have the amount of tortilla chips you desire and serve with the side of your choice.

ENJOY!
