Homemade Orange Chicken

Lately, my Husband and I have been on a Chinese food craze. One night I decided to try and make some Orange Chicken, I figured it would save us money and I could use the practice. I found many recipes that show how to make it, but I decided to make one on my own. It does take a bit of time but once you get the hang of it it will be simple. I decided not to make the rice but instead I bought some P.F. Chang's frozen rice. But if you would like to make fried rice, I have a previous recipe you can follow.  The things you will need are...

  • 4-6 Boneless Chicken Breasts
  • A bowl of flour
  • Hot pan with oil
  • Panda's Orange Chicken sauce

1. In a pan or deep skillet, add fresh oil half way up and let warm up on medium heat.

2. Cut your breasts in small nuggets.

3. Rinse the nuggets and flour them up.

4. Place them in the oil and let cook thoroughly.

5. Once golden brown and crispy, remove from oil and let excess oil drain out. Repeat this step with the rest of the nuggets.

6. Place nuggets in skillet on low heat while the rest of the nuggets cook in the oil.

7. Once you have all the nuggets in skillet, rise heat to medium and pour the Orange Chicken Sauce.

8. Let simmer until sauce is heated up.

9. For the rice, you place in the microwave for 5 minutes or until rice is fully cooked.

10. Serve once ready.

ENJOY!
